Naked babies do not require more or less grooming than cats with fur. Baths, nail clipping and ear cleaning are still required. Naked babies can be bathed every 2-3 weeks. As kittens, they may require bathing every 1-2 weeks as opposed to 2-3 weeks as they are young and still learning to groom themselves and not step on their own little poops. Lighter colored kittens like white, creams, and bicolors might show dirt more so than darker colors like blue, black, lilac, etc., and therefore might require a little more frequent grooming than darker colors. Do naked kittens require sun block, lotion or special skin treatments? Bald babies do not require sun block, lotions or special skin treatments to protect their skin. A well balanced diet and an abundant source of water is key to a healthy skin for your kitten. Sphynx, Elfs, Bambinos, and Dwelfs are a very intelligent breed they will remove themselves from direct sources of light if they feel it is too hot or if they feel their skin might be getting too much sun exposure.
